Travel and accommodation allowance EFZ & EBA
Apprentices employed by a member company of HotellerieSuisse who are attending vocational school at a HF Thun training hotel receive a one-off contribution of up to CHF 1,000 for travel to and from the training hotel from their place of residence, as well as for weekend accommodation, provided that travelling home is not reasonable (guideline: 3 hours).

Requirements for direct application
- The trainee attends vocational school at a hotel school operated by HF Thun.
- The commute from their place of residence to the vocational school takes 3 hours or more by public transportation.
- The applicant is in need of financial assistance and cannot cover the travel costs to the vocational school or necessary weekend overnight stays on their own if the commute is unreasonable
- (Financial circumstances are insufficient to cover training and living expenses.)
- The round-trip ticket is purchased in 2nd class with a Half-Fare Card and/or the trainee stays overnight at The Lab Hotel in Thun.
